Broeder Bouwer is located in an old warehouse in the Tilburg Canal Zone. It is a place where independent entrepreneurs come together. More than that, it is a platform for builders in the widest sense. The hall was filled from scratch.
A work environment that feels natural and gives entrepreneurial spirits plenty of space. Making ideas flow naturally. The organic design of the Broeder Bouwer hall was started on this basis. It started with a meters-long cabinet wall running the entire length of the building. With that present element as a starting point, the rest of the space is filled in modularly.
The interior has been designed and built in a systematic process. Each building element was designed, constructed, purchased and then built on site. The entire interior is made of 18mm Birch Multiplex and finished with a transparent lacquer. Sixteen workplaces, three offices, a consulting room and a conference room fill the warehouse that was originally used as a carpet factory. Two remaining authentic carpet bases serve as supports for the large communal table.
The result of the design process is a place for every entrepreneur, where they can work sitting or standing. A place where hard and concentrated work is alternated with much-needed relaxation from time to time. But above all a base for people who want to build their own future and the future of us all.
